HILTON GARDEN INN
LONG ISLAND CITY, NEW YORK
The Hilton Garden Inn weaves Long Island City's urban environment with the brand’s concept of garden refuge by evoking the warm organic style of the modernist masters. Wood slat ceiling and wall dividers, George Nelson lamps, a wooden collage mural at reception desk and furniture with uncomplicated silhouettes are installed throughout the 7,000 square feet of public space. The 183 guest rooms in this new construction achieve maximum comfort with minimal space afforded to most New York City hotels. Overall, the design was motivated to promote guest satisfaction in a relaxed, but visually appealing atmosphere as well as achieving LEED Silver certification.
